FAQs

  • What parking and EV charging facilities are there?

Each property has its own private driveway, offering ample parking for multiple guests. Unfortunately, we cannot offer dedicated EV charging points just yet due to the remote nature of the properties, but we hope to be able to offer this in the future.

  • Where is the nearest pub and shop?

Nethy Bridge is the closest village to Dorback Estate, and offers a small range of facilities including a butchers shop, a cafe, a convenience shop with post office, and two hotels (The Nethybridge Hotel and The Mountview). The bar and restaurant at The Nethybridge Hotel are both open to non-residents. In addition, a fish & chip van visits the village every Monday evening.

Boat of Garten and Grantown-on-Spey are the nearest towns, offering a slightly wider range of facilities.

  • Where else does Oxygen Conservation offer ecotourism stays?

The Oxygen Escapes homepage showcases the entire portfolio, which includes our idyllic glamping site in Norfolk, our North Devon farm cottages just outside Exmoor National Park, and our mountain farmhouse in the Highlands of Perthshire. Perfect for those seeking relaxation and a connection with nature, all our locations offer a variety of outdoor activities and wildlife-watching opportunities. Each stay also provides the chance to experience our conservation efforts up close, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.

  • How do we get around?

Due to the remoteness of the estate getting to and from places can be tricky. Given the limited public transport, taxi’s are a practical option and local taxi’s do operate in the area. For greater flexibility, especially if you plan to explore the surrounding Highlands, hiring a car is advisable. Car rental services are available in Aviemore and Inverness.
